• Greetings from the Board of Stewards. We met virtually on Wednesday evening. The pressing topic of the meeting was the reopening of the church for in-person worship. We have moved very cautiously since the arrival of COVID-19 in our community. First, the church closed to comply with the local government's decision to “Stay Home, Work Safe.” Everyone went into quarantine. We then started the slow reopening of our campus with small groups followed by Sunday school. We anticipated returning to in-person worship this Sunday, June 28.

  • The past few months have been challenging for everyone, and some have been affected more than others by the coronavirus pandemic. We continue to pray for individuals and families who have suffered illness and death as well as the loss of employment, income, and security. At the church we’ve responded as best we could, adjusting our programs and offering live stream worship services. Some of this has been difficult, but nothing has been more difficult than missing you, our church family.

  • Hello, everyone. The Board of Stewards meeting this week continued to progress through the multitude of issues that arise as we work to open the church campus. What a marvelous group of folks! The guiding focus has always been on the love of God and our neighbor through a spirit of safety, hospitality, and inclusiveness. The conditions have been challenging due to the constraints created by the COVID-19 virus.

  • God used this simple act to show our girls how to love our neighbors during this unprecedented time, and they learned that something even as small as a sandwich can make a difference. Ellie and Anna said it felt great to do something for others. I love Mister Roger’s quote that his mom would say when bad things happened, “Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.” I’m thankful we had a small way to help & use our hands and feet to serve God!
