• I pray you and your families are safe and well. I know we all miss seeing one another in person and look forward to the day we can gather again as a family of faith. In light of recent state and local rulings regarding the gradual reopening of Texas businesses, many of you are anxious to know when the church campus will reopen and how that reopening will address the health and safety of our members and guests.

  • Greetings. Another week of staying at home. Each day gives us opportunities to find new ways to connect. The AHUMC Board’s weekly call was on April 22. We are blessed that we have a talented group of faithful servants in this unique time. As an amateur historian, I’ve asked about the church’s workings during the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic. This was probably the last time that there was such an event that would impact the church. Even during wars, the church was not faced with closing. It was a place of refuge.

  • Greetings. Prayers that all are well in these times of uncertainty. The Board met again virtually on April 15 for the weekly call. Here’s a recap of the discussions.
