• Our annual stewardship campaign, A Generous Life, is off to an excellent start! To date, we have received over $1,161,170 in pledges for our 2021 operating budget. This represents an increase in pledge amount for those who have turned in their pledges and includes commitments from individuals and families who have not pledged before. We have much to be thankful for! But there are still many pledges we have not received.

  • October 25 is Commitment Sunday for our 2021 stewardship campaign, and we ask that you return your 2021 pledge card that day. Whether you join us for worship online or in person, we’ll celebrate the goodness and generosity of God in Jesus Christ and look forward to another year in ministry together.

  • We want to begin by saying, “Thank you.” Your faithful generosity contributes to the thriving ministries of this congregation and its ongoing effort to be a powerful witness for Jesus Christ. We are so grateful for your deep commitment to the ministries of Alamo Heights United Methodist Church.

  • October 1, 2020 marked a momentous occasion in the life of Pastor Donna Strieb and this church.  Forty years ago, she began her service to AHUMC after being invited by Rev. Jack Hooper and Rev. Clyde Byrd to serve as Director of Children & Youth Ministries.  AHUMC has always been special to her so she was delighted to accept that invitation.  Having not only been raised in this church, she was called to ministry here at the age of 16, met and married her husband John here, and raised their son Lawrence here.  Donna considers it an amazing gift and a great blessing that the Lord called her to serve Him here at the church all these years.
