• Beginning the week after Easter, we are excited to offer and engage in a church-wide study on the ways Methodists read and interpret scripture.  This 6-session series will utilize videos and the 2014 book Making Sense of the Bible by Rev. Adam Hamilton of Church of the Resurrection UMC in Leawood, Kansas—the largest United Methodist congregation in the world.


  • As you may know, that order stated that individuals will no longer be required by the State of Texas, and cannot be required by a city or county, to wear a face covering. Governor Abbott recent order became effective on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. 


  • Students in grades 6 - 12 showed up for Sunday School last weekend and turned the morning into a time of conversation, service, and brainstorming.  They began by hearing from Pastor Robert Ortiz, Pastor of Mission and Outreach, about what is currently happening with our Hope Center’s efforts in food collection and distribution.


  • Once again, when an immediate need arose, our congregation showed up! Last Friday morning, we made an urgent call for non-perishable food and bottled water to help families in the community who lacked the basic essentials after the devastating winter storm. Our congregation responded with compassion and showed what it means to help our neighbors in need.
