• 2020 has been a year of both growth and challenge for the people of Alamo Heights United Methodist Church. The reality of a global pandemic has pushed us to adapt to new ways of worshipping, learning, and serving together, while at the same time helping us to clarify our identity, values and mission as a church. Together we look forward to 2021, confident in God’s call on our church and God’s presence in the midst of our ministries, and we give thanks for all that God has been doing among us in 2020.

  • Help bless a child this Christmas! Since 2006, we have been serving and supporting our Methodist brothers and sisters in Christ in Piedras Negras, Mexico. We will have an Angel Tree set up in the atrium of the church beginning Nov. 22. You can select an angel from the tree, shop for a gift for that child, and return the unwrapped gift to the front desk at the church by Sunday, Dec. 13.

  • Throughout the pandemic, the AHUMC Hope Center has been remotely providing assistance with utilities to those in need, having helped 78 households since March. On Monday, November 16 they went a step further and offered a Drive Thru Food Pantry to their clients!

  • Greetings from the Board of Stewards. The BOS November meeting, the last meeting of the year, was held on November 19. As we reflected, I thought of Pastor Robert’s thoughts – “words cannot begin to describe the uniqueness of 2020.” We had a variety of topics to discuss.
