Our oldest daughter, Clara, has been a part of the choirs here at AHUMC for nine years. Six of those years in Sunday Sounds and three in the New Zion Choir. After watching the progression from Kinder to fifth grade, the goal was always to be a part of New Zion. 

My name is Vanessa Woodworth. My husband Craig and I started attending AHUMC in 2013. We are originally from Washington State, about an hour south of Seattle. We met one another in a high school math class; after joining drama and choir, we became friends. Fast forward to 2013, and it won’t surprise you to learn that we joined the Sanctuary Choir at AHUMC. Music has always been a way for us to find joy and to make friends. 

Families with children of ALL ages are invited to join us on Sunday, August 22, from 12-2 p.m. for a Family Picnic. Families come in from all over the city to attend church here but don’t always have a chance to visit with one another.

Each year the Hope Center and the Thursday Lunch Bunch collaborate in sponsoring a Back-to-School Supply Drive. This year we will be collecting school supplies from August 1 through August 15. There will be a collection box in the Atrium during this period.
