THE OLOGIES: A STUDY ON GOD STUFF

August 10October 12, 2025

If you have ever wondered about God, the cosmos, or Christian thought, then join us this fall for a 10-week exploration of some of the basic ideas within our Christian tradition.

Each Sunday in worship, Senior Pastor Jason Adams and Modern Worship Pastor Reed McNitzky will guide opportunities to sing, pray, and learn about the big themes in our faith.

Each Wednesday at lunch, Jason and Reed will lead a companion course that unpacks Sunday's topic in more detail and offers a space for questions and dialogue.

The AHUMC Pumpkin Patch is a great place for everyone to kick off the fall with friends, capture seasonal family photos, and buy some pumpkins for the holidays!

The patch is free to visit with no appointment required but we do need all the volunteers we can get for this annual outreach fundraiser.

FISHING UNDER THE BRIDGE

October 26, 2025

Once a month, every 4th Sunday, volunteers work at the Haven for Hope in the kitchen.

This ministry needs people to help with cooking, serving the meal, and clean-up after the meal. This is an outreach ministry that gives volunteers in our church and the community a chance to serve those who are experiencing houselessness.

Please sign up within the first two weeks of the month.

SEASON'S GREETINGS

beginning October 26

Join pastor Janet Weatherston for this journey of rediscovery as we explore the beloved Christmas story through the words of those who were there. From King Herod to the Magi, the Innkeeper, the midwife—and even Jesus himself—hear the dramatic stories of the Bible characters forever changed by the birth that took place so long ago.

HEALING HOLIDAYS

November 7, 2025

Grief during the holidays is always challenging. The holiday season renews memories, family ties, and traditions. Yet, we become painfully aware that loved ones are no longer present, and the pain of the loss is confused with the spirit of the season, making it difficult for families to navigate.

This free workshop will help identify internal and external resources that strengthen families’ self-compassion and enhance their resiliency while embracing their grief. All are welcome.
