November 6, 2024
Dear Church Family,
I give thanks to God for you. You are loved, and I hope and pray that you feel God’s love in your life. God loves us all and invests so much in all of us. We matter to God. God invests time, energy, and resources into our lives. These investments carry an invitation to be a part of God’s purpose in loving others and serving the world. In other words, God calls us to invest along with God so that we can be a part of something bigger and grander than ourselves.
One who sows sparingly reaps sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will reap bountifully.
2 Corinthians 9:6
I give thanks for the many ways you give yourself for others in the name of Christ.
Your giving makes a difference. Not only does your giving bless the many ministries of the church, but your giving also blesses your life as it connects you to the heart of God.
As we look forward to our 2025 budget, we know that we are called to invest with God in the transforming love of Jesus Christ to make a difference in the world and in our own lives. Attached, you will find two things:
1. A brochure with an overview of our ministries entitled “Thankfully, Faithfully, Sacrificially” and an overview of the 2025 Proposed Operating Budget
2. The 2025 Commitment Card online form.
I encourage you to read through these two items prayerfully. Discuss them with your family. Include them in your reasoning as to why you believe investing in the work of the church is so important. Your gifts matter to God and to Alamo Heights United Methodist Church.
I challenge everyone to step up and invest.
Once your Commitment Card is completed, please seal it in the envelope provided and bring it with you to worship any Sunday in November. We will dedicate our gifts to God and celebrate our future together as a church family throughout the month. If you are unable to attend worship, please return your Commitment Card to the church as soon as you can.
Together, let us invest ourselves in God’s harvest. Let us sow bountifully!
God Bless,
JASON ADAMS
