"I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”
Romans 12:1

It’s amazing to think how much has changed since March. As we packed our bags for Spring Break, we never imagined how different the world would look when we came home. Covid-19 has turned life upside down across the world. With the virus keeping us home and away from our normal routines, we were praying for a way to help those who were/are suffering
When Nona’s email appeared in my inbox asking for volunteers to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the unsheltered at Haven for Hope, it was an answer to prayer and a blessing to our family. Making sandwiches over the past six weeks gave our family a way to directly help others who were and are hurting and hungry. We looked forward to making sandwiches each week and prayed for the people who would receive them.
God used this simple act to show our girls how to love our neighbors during this unprecedented time, and they learned that something even as small as a sandwich can make a difference. Ellie and Anna said it felt great to do something for others. I love Mister Roger’s quote that his mom would say when bad things happened, “Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.” I’m thankful we had a small way to help & use our hands and feet to serve God!
