We are delighted to announce that Rev. Janet Weatherston has been appointed to our church to fill the role of Missions and Outreach Pastor. Her full-time appointment will begin on July 1.
Janet is no stranger to our church. She and her husband, Nicholas, attended this church as newlyweds and subsequently raised their two daughters here. AHUMC sponsored Janet in ministry as she answered the call to become a Licensed Local Pastor. Janet is also a past volunteer in our prayer ministry, New Zion parents’ group, Pumpkin Patch, Children’s Sunday school, VBS, and so much more!
For many years, Janet partnered with Robert Ortiz in ministry at our Asbury campus. Most recently, she has worked with our District Superintendent, Greg Hackett, in the conference office.
Please join us in welcoming Janet back home to AHUMC during worship services on July 3.
There will also be a reception to welcome both Janet and our new Senior Pastor, Jason Adams, on July 10.
