Celebrating Kacey Brewer

JOIN US IN CELEBRATING KACEY BREWER

Our beloved Facilities Director Kacey Brewer is leaving after 7 years of dedicated service to AHUMC. Working closely with our trustees and our incredible facilities staff, Kacey has cared for our congregation by taking great care of our campus. She has guided us over, through, and around many hurdles during her time at AHUMC—from floods and the pandemic to freezes and boiler replacements. Kacey has also been a foundational leader of our Grow Together capital campaign to provide much needed maintenance and campus improvements.

To celebrate her years of service to the AHUMC family, we are collecting letters of gratitude for the amazing ways that Kacey has helped us all. During the next few weeks, there will be a box at the reception desk where you can drop off your letter.  Her last day on staff will be Thursday, July 23.

Kacey joined the AHUMC Facilities team in January of 2019. Prior to her time here, she managed sports facilities, including Texas A&M University's Blue Bell Park and Kyle Field, as well as the Frost Bank Center here in San Antonio. As you have probably experienced, Kacey brings that same care and expertise to every corner of our campus, making sure AHUMC is a place our congregation can gather, worship, and grow.

Kacey went to grade school in Sugar Land, Texas. Her younger years were spent in Midland, Texas and Sumatra, Indonesia, where her father managed oil production facilities for Texaco and Chevron. She earned a degree in Sport Management from Texas A&M University. Kacey is married to David and they have two sons, Brooks and Jett. Her husband's promotion is moving the family to Round Rock, where we know they will continue to be a blessing to their new community.

Thank you, Kacey, for all the light and love you have poured into the AHUMC community over the past 7 years. We are grateful for you and we will miss you!
