Hello from the Board of Stewards. The February meeting was brief, and the news was very good. Even with the continued impact of the Omicron virus on attendance and caused several events to cancel, the financial report was very positive. Staff continues to take a very conservative position and are closely monitoring expenses. The outcome was better than budget projections.
The Trustee committee also presented good news. The contract for the sale of the Asbury property has been signed. We are awaiting the closing date to complete the sale. The board also approved the committee’s recommendation to contract with a broker to explore the ground lease of the northeast portion of the parking lot along Nottingham. The ground lease will allow the church to have control of the future use of the property.
The next board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 17 at 5:30.
