On Wednesday, September 28, in the Christian Life Center (CLC), we will be assembling Emmy's Blessing Bags. The packing event is from 5 to 7 p.m. or until all the bags are completed.
This initiative started when Emmy, a first grader, voiced her desire to offer some comfort to the houseless. The purpose of these bags is for them to be stored in one's car, so that when someone in need is seen at a street corner, a bag can easily be given to them through the car window.
We need people to donate items for the blessing bags and volunteers to help pack the bags.
Items needed:
- Gallon-sized Plastic Bags
- Handwritten Scripture or Prayer
- Socks
- Tuna and crackers
- Toothpaste
- Toothbrush
- Beef jerky
- Water Bottles
- Chap Stick
Donations can be placed in the brown plastic bin in the Atrium or brought to the packing event.
