• Congratulations to our member Dr. Caroline Wernli!  She is the namesake of a new elementary school in the Northside Independent School District.  Dr. Caroline Wernli Elementary opened for the 2020-2021 school year and the official dedication (which was postponed from October due to Covid) is Thursday, March 18.


  • Beginning the week after Easter, we are excited to offer and engage in a church-wide study on the ways Methodists read and interpret scripture.  This 6-session series will utilize videos and the 2014 book Making Sense of the Bible by Rev. Adam Hamilton of Church of the Resurrection UMC in Leawood, Kansas—the largest United Methodist congregation in the world.


  • As you may know, that order stated that individuals will no longer be required by the State of Texas, and cannot be required by a city or county, to wear a face covering. Governor Abbott recent order became effective on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. 


  • Students in grades 6 - 12 showed up for Sunday School last weekend and turned the morning into a time of conversation, service, and brainstorming.  They began by hearing from Pastor Robert Ortiz, Pastor of Mission and Outreach, about what is currently happening with our Hope Center’s efforts in food collection and distribution.
