VBS on the Road

For a second year, AHUMC Youth will go above and beyond for their summer mission trip by taking "VBS on the Road" to Freer, Texas. During June 19-22, the youth will reuse the materials from the Children's Ministry's VBS week, allowing them to bring a fun and exciting program to kids in the area. This time, the youth's families can also attend the trip!

Freer is a community that has faced economic challenges in recent years, and the Youth Ministry hopes to bring joy to the community's children during their trip. Specifically, trip attendees will work on service projects during the day and put on VBS programming in the evening.

Registration for the trip opens February 1 and closes May 15. Families and youth register through the same form. The cost for a family is $500. A youth individual can attend for $200. Registration can be completed with a $50 deposit. Scholarships or payment plans are also available! Don't hesitate to get in touch with Kathey Adams if needed.

If you would like to support the youth's trip, there will be a backpack drive on May 15 in the Atrium. The youth will take these backpacks to the kids in Freer. Any backpacks can be left in the Atrium labeled "Youth VBS Trip." You can also show support by praying for the youth and family's safety and success during the trip!
