I've decided that it's time for me to return to the public school classroom, and I have accepted a teaching position at Alamo Heights Junior School for this fall. My time here in youth ministry at AHUMC has been full of so many highlights and learning experiences, and I'm grateful for having shared those experiences with you. Each of you--young people, families, and volunteers--showed me how to better build relationships and follow Jesus more closely. And together, we have shaped a youth ministry that values belonging and authenticity and pursuing God with honest questions. I am grateful for you and so excited to see what's ahead for AHUMC Youth! I'll continue in my current role through the end of July and hope to provide a smooth transition to the next youth director. Thank you all for supporting me and this ministry over many years.
