We're thrilled to announce that Kathey Adams has joined the AHUMC family as the new Youth Ministry Director!
Here's a little bit about Kathey:
Kathey Adams began serving as a Licensed Local Pastor in the Rio Texas Annual Conference in 2014, but her ministry did not start there. Kathey has been in youth and family ministry for over 25 years and comes to us after having served most recently at Smiley United Methodist Church. She is passionate about Christ, wrestling with scripture, and has a heart for sharing God's love with those around her. Kathey is called to work alongside youth and the marginalized.
Kathey has three children Heather 35, Sunny 24 and Javier 17. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, taking the scenic route (backroads) everywhere she goes, working on classic ford trucks, and Texas High School football-six and eleven man.
Kathey is going to bring so much to the Youth Ministry, helping foster growth within the students here at AHUMC. We're honored to have her here.
