Teacher Testimony Sunday Sounds

Why should your child join the AHUMC Sunday Sounds Kids Music Experience on Sunday evenings? With a combined teaching experience of over 50 years, we have a children’s music staff that knows music and more importantly, knows music for kids. Each of our teachers has a passion for bringing their love and joy of music and Jesus to Sunday Sounds. As public school music teachers, our staff could take this time to rest from music-making, but they keep coming back week after week and year after year to work with our AHUMC children. You might wonder why.

When you hear these teachers talk about the Sunday Sounds Kids Music Experience, you can feel their excitement bubble over as they laugh and tell stories about their favorite memories from past years. There are silly stories, compassionate stories, and stories of spiritual growth. Each one of them notes that they love the team they work with and the musical family they are creating each week. They enjoy the generational aspect of the program as you see the kids grow through the program into youth helpers and then follow their journey in college and life.  Getting to know the families and creating a musical family is important to these teachers. Again, we hear the word “family”. We build relationships through music. It doesn’t matter if you can sing, dance or anything else, we want you to come as you are and have fun. Experience music where you are at, build a community of lifelong friends, and learn more about the love of Jesus.

There is a place for you in the Sunday Sounds: Kids Music Experience.
