Hope Center: School Supplies Drive

Each year the Hope Center and the Thursday Lunch Bunch collaborate in sponsoring a Back-to-School Supply Drive. This year we will be collecting school supplies from August 1-15. There will be a collection box in the Atrium during this period. On August 15, the supply packets will be prayed over in conjunction with the Blessing of the Backpacks occurring during our 11 a.m. worship services. The supply packets will be delivered to local schools for students who may not have the means to purchase their needed supplies. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and will go a long way in helping students start the school year in the right direction. The suggested supplies for each packet are listed below.

Supplies for Packets:


  • 1” vinyl binder (Please no black or pink)
  • Pencil bag that will go in a binder
  • 2 single-subject wide-rule spirals
  • 2 folders with brads
  • 1 pack 150-sheet wide-rule notebook paper
  • 6-10 #2 pencils with eraser tops
  • Hand-held pencil sharpener
  • 2-3 black or blue pens (like Bic)
  • 1 red grading pen
  • School Glue and glue sticks
  • 16-24 box crayons (HEB Buddy are fine!)
  • 12-count box of colored pencils
  • Package of colored construction paper
  • 1 12” ruler
