We are delighted to share this update from Donna Murphy regarding this year's School Supply Drive:
Dear AHUMC Congregation,
Thank you all for your support and prayers for our School Supply Drive! Once again, this year's drive was a successful one! Because of your generosity, we were able to share supplies with 13 schools and our neighbors at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church just in time for the first day of school.
Here are a few highlights:
We compiled 42 sets of school supplies for individual students.
We provided 20 sets of school supplies that will be distrubted through the Hope Center.
We were able to provide supplies to the Arts for All after-school program here at AHUMC.
Your donations allowed us to raise $3,227 (almost twice what we donated last year), allowing us to fill specific requests and needs for our served schools.
Again, thank you to everyone who participated in this year's drive—including our Lunch Bunch and Hope Center volunteers. Because of your help, students, parents, and teachers throughout our community were supported and loved!
Members of the Thursday Lunch Bunch recently assembled the school supply packs from our community's donations.
