School Supply Drive

Summer isn't nearly close to being over, and we can already find shopping stores packing their shelves with school supplies. That means it's time to start preparing for our Annual AHUMC School Supply Drive, sponsored by our Thursday Lunch Bunch and Hope Center.

There are a couple of ways you can donate school supplies this year.

First, you can prepare school supply packets according to elementary or secondary school needs.

  • 1 pack 150-sheet wide-rule notebook paper

Finishing and turning in your supply bag:

  1. Please place your items in a ready-to-go bag (plastic or cloth). Attach your tag to the bag so that all the info is easily read.
  2. Bring your bag to the desk or the Atrium starting Sunday, July 10th. They should all be turned in by Sunday, July 31st.

(Donations of other school supplies, not listed above or not within a complete pack, are also welcome.)

Please note: Printed copies of the above are available in the Atrium, along with tax-exemption information and forms.

The second way to donate to this year's drive is by giving a monetary donation. You can do so by going to our Give page and specifying in the note section that the donation is for the School Supply Drive.

As funds are available, we call each school, find out their needs, and go shopping! This initiative partners with Alamo Heights ISD, Northeast ISD, and surrounding schools in helping children get the supplies they need.

We greatly appreciate your support and donations, as we will serve as many of our local students in need as we can!
