Rev. Ryan Jacobson Named Modern Worship Teaching Pastor

Hello friends,

A few weeks ago, we learned that our very own Rev. Dr. Robert Ortiz has been called to become the next District Superintendent of the Las Misiones District of the Rio Texas Conference. I know you all share in my gratitude for the leadership, grace, and love that he has shared with us for so many years. I also know that you share in my confidence in and appreciation for Pastor Robert’s heart and mind as he moves into his new vocation.

I am also excited to let you know that Pastor Jason has asked that I assume the role of the Modern Worship Teaching Pastor. I have been a part of this church in various capacities for about 15 years. I began as a member and volunteer, was hired as a Missions and Outreach Director, became a Licensed Local Pastor, and created and assumed a role new to our church as the Congregational Care Pastor. As I begin this role in our Modern Worship services, I will also be pursuing ordination as an Elder in the United Methodist Church.

My wife Kylea, my son Oliver, and I are happy to have a family of faith that we have loved, and that has loved us well. I look forward to continued service in partnership with you as we walk the path that G-d has given us. Please join me in prayer for this transition—for me, my family, and our church. Pray also for Pastor Robert, his family, and our conference leadership as they likewise transition for the future.

Shalom friends,

Pastor Ryan
