It has been a privilege and honor to work alongside the AHUMC community for the past 37 years. Roger and I have been loved well by this congregation. You have shaped us and our children through your encouragement and authentic interest in our lives. We have seen the Living Christ through your faces, words, actions, and presence. Through music and worship, I have experienced the gift of doing work that is life-giving alongside people who are love-giving. I cannot imagine a more fulfilling vocation and career. I am grateful for your trust and support.
Nona Schwab will assume the leadership of the Music/Worship Ministry. Nona is greatly loved by our Music Ministry and congregation. She will continue to lead New Zion Youth Choir and assume the director’s responsibilities for Sanctuary Choir, Joy Singers and Chancel Ringers. With your help, she will lead the ministry to new heights. It will be wonderful.
AHUMC is a unique church and community. I knew on the first Sunday that Roger and I attended worship in 1980 at the Broadway location that I was home. AHUMC will continue to be our church community. You are our people. You are good people. You have richly blessed our lives and we are grateful.
