Fun, Sun, and John Wesley
A September Saturday at Camp Capers in Waring, Texas, was just what we all needed to jump start this fall semester! Seventeen youth and five adults descended on this beautiful camp in the Hill Country for a day of living into John Wesley's General Rules: Do no harm. Do good. Stay in love with God. Pastor Darrell Smith and New Zion Youth Choir Director Nona Schwab shared teachings and facilitated conversations with the kids while CLC Worship Director A. J. Navarro and worship team member Laura Pendley led our youth in worship. The trails, the river, the games, and the conversations all made for a really fun and meaningful day together. Special thanks to our adult volunteers for the day: Robert Duncan, Kristin Navarro, and Alison Band.
