The purpose of AHUMC is to welcome all people, build community, share God’s love, and serve the world. As part of this, we aspire to make our spaces as inviting as possible. We are so excited to share that the East Wing is being updated with fresh paint and a new look. Part of this project will include new signage to make it easier for children (and their parents) to locate their classrooms.
Over the past 20 years, you have probably noticed beautiful murals in this area. These murals were part of a large Children’s Ministry project – a labor of love – back in 2001. We will continue to honor the artists' work by displaying them in the Children's Chapel for the years to come. We are so thankful for everyone that was a part of this project.
We are grateful for the Trustees’ prayerful approval of our painting project and for our talented Communications team helping us with new design elements. Due to the size and scope of this project, we will be rolling it out in phases. We hope to have phase 1 completed for Back to School Sunday on August 15! We can’t wait to see everyone and to share our excitement with the children!
