A Firm Foundation

Dear Friends in Christ,

We are excited about the wonderful things happening at Alamo Heights United Methodist Church and eager to tell you about the October stewardship campaign. Our theme this year will be “A Firm Foundation.” This theme is based upon the words of Timothy 6: 17-19:

“Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way, they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.”

We are incredibly blessed at Alamo Heights United Methodist Church. God truly has provided everything we need and more. The church has remained healthy despite the challenges of a global pandemic, and the ministries of the church continue to offer God’s hope, strength, and peace to the surrounding community and beyond. In the year to come, we have a great opportunity to expand our ministries further and share the love of Jesus Christ with more people than ever before.

We invite you to participate in worship services this month, leading up to our Commitment Sunday on October 31. Between now and then, you will receive further information about “A Firm Foundation” and an opportunity to invest in the life-changing ministries of AHUMC.
