The first part of AHUMC's Purpose Statement is to "Welcome all people." We are constantly striving to live into this purpose.
On March 30, a new accessible seating section will be opened in the East Transept of the Sanctuary, just inside the East entrance doors.
Here are the changes that are being made:
This new seating section is designed to have extra space for wheelchair users and their companions.
Comfortable padded chairs for companions will be available by asking an usher.
A TV screen will be installed on the column adjacent to the seating area as a viewing option when sightlines could be temporarily blocked during portions of the service when standing is optional.
Our Facilities Team is beginning this project on Monday, March 24, and it will be completed by the following Sunday's services.
