Liz Wilson discovered her calling and her career as a designer of church needlepoint quite by accident. Having studied art at Southern Methodist University, the Art Institute of Chicago, and through numerous classes and workshops taught by talented artists, Liz well knew how to draw, paint, and use color and texture to create beautiful designs.

The Board of AHUMC gathered on Saturday, January 18, to get to know each other and our roles.The gathering included Board members, staff, and clergy. We spent time discussing the status of the “protocol” that has been disseminated by a diverse group of United Methodists representing various constituencies throughout the Church.

Mary Ann is generous with her talent, often creating pieces for a specific place. Her abstract paintings of rich, layered color hang in hallways, the Garden Chapel, stairwells and the CLC.
