40 Cans for 40 Days

During the season of Lent, we commemorate both the Israelite's 40 years and Jesus' 40 days in the wilderness as we prepare for the coming of Resurrection Sunday.

Traditionally, people observe this time of preparation by fasting or abstaining from certain activities, foods, or habits.

We would like to invite you to partner with us in one of AHUMC's Lenten practices. As you go through 40 days of preparation, we’d hope you will join us in prayer for the Hope Center. We also hope you will consider donating a can of food for each of the 40 days of Lent.

Last year, the Hope Center provided food to more than 250 families. This effort has brought in more than 13,000 pounds of food in the last four years. None of this would have been possible without the support of people like you.  Thank you for your prayers and your support!
