WANT TO SERVE STUDENTS / PARENTS AT AHUMC?

Do you have a desire to serve Jr and/or Sr High students or their parents? We'd love to talk with you to help determine if there's a good fit between your time, talents and interests and the needs here at AHUMC.  Contact Josh Gill, Associate Director of Community at jgill@ahumc.org.

Areas of Opportunity to Serve in Student Ministry

Community

Life Group Leader:  Leads weekly/biweekly small group with fun, discussion, and prayer  CLICK HERE for more info

Chaperone:  Makes fun events possible by providing supervision and pitching in where needed  CLICK HERE for more info

Adult Community Leader:  Coordinating fun outings for parents to connect to each other with/without their students around CLICK HERE for more info

Event Coordinator:  Coordinates small or large fun community building events for students  CLICK HERE for more info


Discipleship

Class Coordinator:  Assists with coordinating volunteers and generaly guiding the activities in Jr High, Confirmation, or Sr High Sunday School classes  CLICK HERE for more info

Sunday School Teacher:  Crafts and teaches a Jr High, Confirmation, or Sr High Sunday School class once a month  CLICK HERE for more info

Discussion Leader:  Facilitates conversation and connection with students in Jr High, Confirmation, or Sr High Sunday School classes CLICK HERE for more info


Mission & Ministry

Ministry Team Leader:  Coordinates a team of students who share a similar passion or interest (i.e. media team, worship band, greeting team, drama team, sports outreach, etc.)  CLICK HERE for more info

Mentor to Students:  The best way most of us learn is through role modeling. Being a mentor is walking through life with a person . . . listening, sharing, guiding. The expectation is you'll pray for this person daily, contact them (text/phone) occasionally, and get togehter with them monthly.  CLICK HERE for more info

Mentor to Parents:  How did you learn to be a husband/wife? Most of us learn via role modeling, but may or may not have had the best role models. Walk through life with a husband/wife/couple . . . listening, sharing, guiding. Service Projects Coordinator:  We want students and families to reach out and serve all over the community. Having someone help coordinate these projects is tremendously beneficial.  CLICK HERE for more info
